Anticipated by University and community supporters each year since its inception in 1997, Spring Gala has been an annual highlight for the Alumni Association, surpassing its 25th celebration in 2021. Proceeds from the evening are dedicated to funding initiatives by the Alumni Association.

Bryan Hanks will be honored at the Alumni Center on March 25, 2023, for his continued passion for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, exceptional dedication to Acadiana and commitment to the future successes of both.

Spring Gala features silent and live auctions, including various attractive items to bid on, such as original artwork, unique gift assortments, travel opportunities, and Ragin' Cajuns merchandise. The event offers fine food and entertainment throughout the night as well. This year, we will also welcome former Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns as our special guests of the honoree:

President-elect of the UL Lafayette Alumni Association, Mark D. Mouton, serves as chairman of Spring Gala, with Mary Galyean and Annie Perrett serving as auction co-chairs. In the last 25 years, Spring Gala has surpassed the $1 million milestone in net proceeds, thanks to the generous contribution of our community and alumni. The Alumni Association greatly appreciates the support received to help our facilities thrive throughout Lafayette and the University.
