Spring Gala has been an annual event anticipated by University and community supporters each year since its inception in 1997. In 2021, the decision was made to cancel our annual event in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. Spring Gala has always been one of the highlights of the year for the UL Lafayette Alumni Association but this year is extra special. Not only are we elated to welcome you back to the Alumni Center, but we will also be celebrating our 25th year hosting this event. Proceeds from the evening are dedicated to funding initiatives by the Alumni Association.

Herbert "Herbie" Schilling will be honored on March 26, 2022 at the Alumni Center.  We are honored to recognize him on our 25th annual Spring Gala for his generosity and dedication to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and Alumni Association.

Spring Gala features both a silent and live auction including a variety of attractive items to bid on such as original artwork, unique gift assortments, travel opportunities and Ragin' Cajuns merchandise. The event offers fine food and entertainment throughout the night as well.

President-elect of the UL Lafayette Alumni Association, Chris Richard, serves as chairman of Spring Gala with Mary Galyean serving as auction chair. In the last 25 years, Spring Gala has surpassed the $1 million milestone in net proceeds thanks to the generous contribution of our community and alumni. The Alumni Association greatly appreciates the support received to help our facilities thrive throughout Lafayette and the University.
