Louisiana Writes! is a state writing contest for students in Kindergarten through 12th grade. Designed to honor and encourage excellence in creative writing, the contest began in 2004 under the sponsorship of the Louisiana Writing Project
Entries in poetry, fiction and nonfiction in English and French are judged by state writing teachers. Finalist entries are judged by state authors.
Gifts to Louisiana Writes help purchase Barnes & Noble gift cards for winners in grades 7-12 and engraved medals of honor. Gifts also help defray the costs of printing the anthology of winning entries.

Donor receives acknowledgement & logo in all media releases and anthology as well as a copy of anthology.
Prize $100+
Donor receives acknowledgment in and copy of anthology.
